“Based on a blockhouse at Bergville, the only one remaining in KwaZulu-Natal. The McMaster’s replica contains a remarkable display relating to both the Anglo Zulu and Anglo Boer Wars. Viewing is strictly by prior arrangement.”

Hallo Doug,
I am travelling through Ladysmith on the 2nd October with a group of 50 people. Would it be possible to make an appointment to visit the blockhouse on that day?
Kind regards
Christo van Vuuren
We stayed at the McMasters B&B a few years back but didn’t know about the museum. It was one of the most interesting B&Bs we’ve ever used and we were very fortunate to be given a tour of the Blockhouse. I’ve heard that it is one of the finest privately owned war museums in the world. I can well believe it. A truly amazing experience.
