San Safaris will take you “OFF THE BEATEN TRACK” to points and places that have seen battles, wars, assassinations, arrests (lawful and or unlawful) and will enable you to make up your own mind as “whence we came from and “SOWETO” – so where to next!

Kevin Smith was a schoolmaster at Kearsney College for 30 years where he organised and conducted many safaris/tours throughout South Africa and overseas. His love for, and interest in, the environment, both past and present, has led him into taking safaris through Battlefield Sites and Game Reserves throughout Southern Africa.

Together with detailed information on all Battle Sites in the country and from the constellations of our night sky in terms of astronomy and astrology to biogeography, ecology, animal, bird identification to trees in term of names, traditional uses and superstitions, Kevin is able to bring your surroundings both past and present to life.

“I would like to show you what our ‘Beloved Country’ has to offer. As a National Tour Guide I am qualified to guide you in all nine Provinces in South Africa and should you have any interest please feel free to E-Mail me and I will send you a more detailed brochure and information sheet on my KwaZulu Natal Safari.”

  • Hi,

My husband and I are keen to do a morning battlefield tour tomorrow (Friday) morning in or around the Ladysmith area or closer to the Midlands area where we are staying this evening. Please advise if you are able to assist in bringing alive the battlefield history for a short while?
