Spion Kop Lodge

Spion Kop Lodge is the ideal place to explore the Battlefields, Berg and Bush and offers warm hospitality surrounded by the foothills of the Drakensberg.

Our colonial style lodge is situated in tranquil, indigenous grounds with superb views, plus two self-catering cottages in an Out-of-Africa setting. Facilities include Library – collection of historical books – dining room, cozy pub and swimming pool.

Raymond Heron (F.R.G.S.) and his son, Alistair, guide guests to battlefield sites. Mount Alice, Buller’s headquarters during the Ladysmith campaign, is on the farm. Activities offered are Battlefield Tours, Sunset Cruises, Game Viewing, Birding, Hiking, Fishing and Cycling.
